Carlsbad Field to Vase Dinner

Behind every flower there is a farmer, and within every flower farmer, there is much passion for beauty. The Field to Vase dinner tour recognizes the hearts and hands behind the beauty we so ecstatically welcome into our homes, work places and public gatherings. It's an evening to celebrate American Grown farmers and flowers. 

The Field to Vase Dinner is a tour across the country put on by American Grown Flowers, in bringing awareness of where you buy your flowers and get more people to buy from American Grown farmers. It is a spectacular evening filled with farmers, florists, enthusiast, local vendors and it all takes place at selected local flower farms adding beautiful scenery while enjoying great company and an artisan meal. The Carlsbad dinner is located in the beautiful Flower Fields. Mellano has been apart of the fields for generations growing our ranunculus. Every year we bring beauty to Carlsbad at the fields, filling acres of land located on top of a hill over looking the ocean. 

Whether they are presented to celebrate the beautiful aspects of life, or bring comfort to the droopy fronts of life, flowers have a commute that is worth being recognized. After all, flowers touch many areas of our lives—especially when we gather as communities, families, and citizens to celebrate love, a life, and our world as we know it. Just as we each have a personal story and journey from which we originate, so do flowers. 

The night is filled with a selected audience of ticket holders who are all so excited to come mingle with the featured flower designers, meet the local farmers, and get a chance to have a meal set out right in the middle of the ranunculus flower fields in Carlsbad. 

As Mellano is the featured farmer, our very own Mike Mellano is always in attendance. He gives a private tour around the fields prior to the dinner to selected ticket holders, and personally welcomes the guests at the start of the dinner and gets to explain a little more about Mellano, our team, farmers, products and how grateful we are to bring beauty to people through our flowers and greens. 

Your meal is set in the middle of the beauty of local foliage, petals, stems and flowers as you sit around the table and enjoy this artisanal meal, all eyes are on the center of the table at the arranged flowers and designs, hand crafted by a chosen featured designer. The attention is on the flowers, our farmers and their farms, and the floral designs they inspire.
